Utilities, Inc. Acquires Perkins Mountain Water Company

Northbrook, IL: Utilities, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Perkins Mountain
Water Company and Perkins Mountain Utility Company, wholly owned subsidiaries of
Rhodes Homes Arizona, LLC. These companies were formed by Rhodes Homes Arizona
to obtain certificates of convenience and necessity (CC&Ns) to provide water and
wastewater services to two master planned communities in Mohave County, Arizona,
Pravada, near Kingman, Arizona, and White Hills located southeast of Las Vegas.
Following the acquisition, the Perkins companies filed with the Arizona Corporation
Commission an amendment to their CC&N applications addressing the change of
control and related issues.

Rhodes Homes Arizona has previously received 100-year water adequacy approvals
from the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) for the full build out of the
two developments, Pravada and White Hills. Those communities are planned to include
approximately 56,500 residential units, along with commercial retail and recreation
facilities.
The developments of Pravada and White Hills will provide a well-connected network of
services and amenities to meet the needs of current and future residents of Mohave
County, one of the fastest growing counties in Arizona.
