Utilities, Inc. Expands and Upgrades Water Treatment Plant

NORTHBROOK, Ill. – April 23, 2007-- Utilities, Inc. (UI), a national water and wastewater service corporation, and its subsidiary Wedgefield Utilities, Inc., are pleased to announce the expansion and upgrade of its water treatment plant in the Wedgefield system in Orlando, FL. “This $3.0 million project, to be completed this year, doubles the plant’s current capacity while also implementing state-of-the-art water treatment technologies such as Magnetic Ion Exchange (MIEX)”, said Lisa Crossett, Chief Operating Officer. Wedgefield Utilities, Inc. is investing heavily to increase both water quality and treatment capacity to meet the needs of this rapidly growing area.
