John Stover Appointed Vice President and Corporate Secretary

NORTHBROOK, Ill. --March 21, 2007-- Utilities, Inc. (UI), a national water and wastewater service corporation, is proud to announce the appointment of John Stover, UI General Counsel, as Corporate Secretary and a Vice President of the company.
“We are excited about John’s appointment as an officer of Utilities, Inc.,” said UI’s President, Larry Schumacher. “We will benefit greatly from John’s experience and practical business approach to issues we face everyday. This is just another step in positioning UI to take advantage of the opportunities which lay ahead.”
Stover joined UI on January 2nd as General Counsel. He began his career as an attorney with Amoco Corporation law department in 1980 where he held a variety of senior legal and financial management positions with Amoco and its successor, British Petroleum. Stover left BP in 2002 and later served as Deputy General Counsel for the State of Illinois, Central Management Services. From January 2005 until he joined UI, Stover was VP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Propex, Inc, a worldwide manufacturer of industrial fabrics. He holds a B.B.A. in economics from the University of Oklahoma, a J.D. from Georgetown University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
